This was a very fun ride!
Initially I found the number of famous actors somewhat distracting, but I ended up settling into it. The performances were very strong overall.
The first third of the movie seems to want to rush a lot, and the editing felt frantic, which might just be a side-effect of how much ground it needs to cover. I did find myself enjoying it more once we started making the trip back, the movie slows down a lot and takes more time to appreciate the beautiful views and tortured feeling of the characters.
The suitors plotline I found to be the least interesting of the bunch. The mystical/spiritual adventure was much more engaging, I really enjoyed the weird lands and creatures they would run into. The "sailing into hell" sequence being a standout.
While I saw it in IMAX, I don't believe we actually got the full frame version. Which is a shame since the nice framing seems to have been lost in the cropped version. It was also very loud for some reason, which seems to be a common complaint. Sharp sounds like swords clashing forced me to cover my ears.
I very much appreciated the practical effects as well. The cyclops felt a little goofy, but all other scenes benefited from it; Any of the sailing scenes in particular felt really grounded and gritty as a result.
A strong addition to the Nolan library, but I can't see myself watching it again.

I was put onto this movie by an out-of-context clip of the "creep" scene, which is equally hilarious in context.
It turned out to be surprisingly good! The art style is delectable and colourful. The very cute and straightforward story might make it feel more oriented toward children, but it is still perfectly watchable for adults.
The completely unironic use of pop songs was really funny and made for a campy experience.
An absolute classic, untainted by time.
Not much more can be said: it's an incredible ending to an equally incredible show.
If you somehow haven't seen it yet, you know what to do.
It's been a while since I've seen an entire theatre erupt in enthusiastic laughter this often throughout the runtime of a movie.
I thoroughly enjoyed the simple premise and short runtime. It truly felt like eating a really good piece of candy: short and sweet.
I would also recommend Le Prénom, as its premise feels very similar in premise.
Very funny, with impressive acting all around.
Insufferable dialogue coming from the most unappealing character designs I've seen come out of a Disney production.
That this one came from said studio is quite baffling, as it simply looks bad. Everything is matte and gray, and even the sprawling vistas and nature are manage to be gray too. Every shot is just dark and muddy.
Not to mention that the, designed in a lab-designed, marketable, lovable sidekick is the cherry on top of this cynical cake.
Some of the best hard sci-fi ever put to screen.
The movie absolutely revels in the opportunity to introduce new concepts and immediately grapple with their real-world consequences of it. The amount of practical and believable futuristic invention on display is staggering.
Not to mention an absolutely masterful voice cast — you'd do yourself a disservice by not watching it in the original French.
Deeply engaging, with an evolving mystery that keeps you captivated the whole way through.
Massive recommend.

Incredible experience — from the first shot you can tell you're in good hands. It works very well as a mystery thriller and engages the viewer right away.
I do wish it had stayed on that course, as the movie seems to take a left turn after the car bomb, where it stops being about investigating the shady dealings of the church.I also felt like it ended somewhat abruptly. I would have gladly taken another hour to really explore the subject matter, as well as the implications of the final reveal. I'm still not quite sure what it meant in the greater context of the film.
While it maintained the expected animation quality, Dawn of the Nugget really suffered in the writing department.
Dialogue delivery is extremely stilted, or just plain awkward. The jokes especially, are just bad, and seem to think of themselves as hilarious. The edit will often leave a pause before a joke is delivered, and an even longer pause afterwards, seemingly leaving space for the audience to explode with uncontrollable laughter.
Along with these forced pauses, the editing feels like it's moving at a snail's pace, often lingering on shots that take forever to give way to the next scene. Maybe they just didn't have enough material from the already stretched thin premise to hit the standard runtime.
Unfortunately, a really weak sequel after a fantastic first movie.
The writing could have been a little tighter, but for a non-fan this was still very entertaining.
The humour hit me right in the funny bone — a more Gen Z, fast-paced type of funny that really worked for me.
Beautiful animation and very chewable rendering, me likey.
Very accessible for people who have no clue about any of the lore.
Was immediately confused by the over-the-top acting; I later read that it might have been an homage to old-school movies. It didn't work for me at all and just came across as extremely grating.
Godzilla going ape was cool, but this is certainly the least interesting rendition of him.
Very often a character will just blurt out some random explanation to try to make sense of the current scene, and it's very funny every time.
Very tiring and just kinda low grade — it doesn't respect the audience.
Unfortunately doesn't go for the mature angle the way "Curse of the Were-Rabbit" did. The style feels less grounded, closer to the TV shorts.
Still serviceable, but definitely aimed more at children.

I just can't help but feel that the ending twist just didn't work in this movie. In my mind, there was never any reasonable doubt, which made the ending mostly confusing, as it doesn't really slot in or explain anything.
The most beautiful and atmospheric cinematography you'll ever see... for about 30 minutes.
Then it's hours of pretentious rambling in a dark room for you!
The way this movie cleverly builds up to what seems to be a truly tragic shootout caused by the brothers' past catching up to them, and then clumsily collapses into a generic schlock vampire story, is astounding.
Everything they discuss in the first half goes right out the window as soon as the second half hits.
Somehow the acting falls through the floor as well; by the end, it starts feeling more like a Key & Peele sketch.
Incredible waste of potential for what seemed to be an expertly told story.
Old man yells at clouds — except it's a boomer's idea of the internet from 15 years ago.
Has no concept of how internet influencers work or why they're bad, yet somehow still has an opinion somehow.

Start off with the most amazingly animated action scene, only to never do it again.
This movie series seems allergic to doing what it does best, and it ends up getting bogged down in convoluted plots with a few cool sequences sprinkled in.
When they had to flood the space shuttle with fart gas, forcing everyone to breathe it in and exclaim how stinky it was, I knew it was time to tap out.

It's never anything you could figure out yourself, since the movie simply withholds any crucial information from the viewer until James Bond explains it to you after 2 hours 50.

A very impressive and timely piece by PTA.
It seemingly manages to criticize both extremes of revolutionary movements: the far left,
too bogged down in the literature and only revolting performatively,and the far right, cold and pathetic fascist losers,
so obsessed with their ideas of purity that it gets them killed.This is then perfectly contrasted by the robust support network of Sensei.It unfortunately runs out of steam by the end,
with a car chase that could have been cut down.An incredible watch nonetheless.
Like the movie before it, it manages to be a lot of fun until you realize there are another 2 hours left.
Unlike The Way of Water, Fire and Ash doesn't know what to do with itself after that point and devolves into doing the same thing over and over again.
Children wander off, get kidnapped, and are rescued at least 4 separate times. Incredibly tedious.
Peak medieval fantasy.
A movie of thick atmosphere, that perfectly captures a feeling of nostalgia with soft glows and bloom.
The mix of at times goofy performances and impeccable set design makes for a weird and thoroughly enjoyable experience.
While the film has plenty of cute vignettes and personable characters, it doesn't seem to know what to do with them.
It ends up stretched thin, leaving little to chew on by the end

It manages to capture the horror of the YouTube series very well, but unfortunately we don't get enough of it. The movie gets bogged down by focusing too much on weak characters, and ends abruptly.
Would have done great with another 40 minutes. A great experience nonetheless.

While off-putting at times, this is actually a solid piece of animation and makes for a fun, surreal experience!
The fudge might be the most impressive animated character I've seen, and it probably took the majority of the budget to create.
It also heavily inspired Digital Circus, which makes this a fun bit of supplementary viewing for fans.
